My Day

It’s a day to celebrate the collective creative ability of women.

Not only that, this day serves as a remembrance to women who have broken through barriers and the accomplishments they have made throughout the hardship. In commemoration of International Women’s Day, ArtMalaysia organizes this charity art event with the theme “My Day” to specially dedicate our appreciation to women who have inspired, influenced and led artistic creativity.

With impressive works of art from countries as diverse as Malaysia, Iran, Korea, Finland, Indonesia, Iraq and Denmark, this exhibition creates a visual space to capture the imagination, and to hold in the highest regard women and the feminine.

Indeed, the celebration was intensified with the arrival of guests of honour, Y.A.Bhg Tun Dr Mahathir Bin Mohamad and Y.A.Bhg Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Binti Haji Mohd Ali to graciously officiate the event.

Undeniably, International Women's Day provides not only a perfect opportunity for all women to celebrate the progress that they have made, it also affords us a moment in time to stop and reflect on how we may ensure that the next generation of women around the world are empowered to optimise their full potential.
