Khoo Cheang Jin

Born 1963 in Penang, Khoo Cheang Jin is fond of art since young.
He has been painting seriously since graduated from the School of
Architecture in UNSW, Australia. Despite his busy working schedule,
he still finds times for painting whenever he can. He likes to travel,
and the streetscapes, old buildings and local people he visited and
encountered with become the most loved subject for his expression
in watercolour. He has thus far held 5 solo exhibitions in Penang and
Kuala Lumpur, and numerous local and overseas group shows.
He has won many art awards in Singapore and Malaysia, and his
watercolours are in the collections of many individuals and institutions
including Istana Melawati in Putrajaya, National Art Gallery in Kuala Lumpur,
Penang State Art Gallery, Shell Companies in Singapore, Mission to the
United Nation in Geneva, Singapore etc. He is a Signature Member of
National Watercolor Society, member of Singapore Watercolour Society,
Malaysian Watercolour Society, Penang Art Society and currently serves as
the President of Penang Water Colour Society
