Noorhayati Rosmin

Noorhayati Rosmin aka Yati Min is a self-taught charcoal and acrylic artist. She was born in the year 1979, on 9 September.

Her interest in Art began at the age of 2, when her father would always buy LUNA colour pencils for her to draw and colour.  During primary school years, she competed frequently in various drawing competitions.  And, when she was studying in the Methodist Girls Secondary School, Ipoh, she held the position of Prefect in the Art and Creative Bureau of the girls hostel, for one year and she completed her secondary education achieving a Level 2 in the SPM examination.
Subsequently, she pursued a certificate course in Mechanical Engineering in the Industrial Training Institute (ILP), Ipoh and graduated with a MLVK 1 and 2 Certificate.
She had no opportunity to obtain formal education in the field of Arts, but as she had very keen interest in the field, she took her own initiative to explore and researched further into the field by participating in several Art Associations in Malaysia.  She is more inclined towards portraits, sceneries, abstract, poetry and realism with charcoal and acrylic.
In year 2015, she participated in a programme organised by the National Visual Art Gallery for 1MCAT which was managed by the Art Group “Angkatan Pelukis SeMalaysia”. This event was named “Lakar Lukis Langkawi II”.
She is an avid participant and member of the following events & associations:-
